AB-De-Villiers-vs-Gujrat-Lions-QualifersIPL - Season 9 is at its final stage, Qualifier 1 was won by Royal Challengers Bangalore by 4 wicket’s and it was indeed AB De Villiers's amazing show. RCB were 29-5 after 5.3 overs after Virat Kohli, L Rahul and Sachin Baby were out on 0. Then AB stepped up and showed what he can do with the bat. Yes AB De Villiers, what an amazing innings, and the timing of the inning was very crucial, because the winner between two team directly goes into the final. AB knocks not out 79 runs in just 47 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes. Stuart Binny (21 runs in 15 balls) and Iqbal Abdulla (Not out 33 runs in 25 balls and also picked 2 important wickets) can to AB's help and stood there on the pitch with AB De Villiers and helped RCB to reach the target in 18.2 overs. 13 times AB DE Villiers has remained not out while chasing and 13 times it has resulted in a win for RCB.

"Unbelievable. I can't believe that I'm standing here as the winning captain. I think this should settle the debate about who is the best in the world. Come the big game, the big man steps up. I just bow down to him. Probably one of the best knocks under pressure I have seen. I'm happy for him and the team.” Virat Kohli said in post-match presentation.

So In this article I am going to cover some point on “Why I want Royal Challengers Bangalore to win this IPL - 2016?”

Royal Challengers Bangalore started this IPL on a very good note. They scored 227 in their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. After that they lost 2 matches back to back after which they won against Rising Pune Supergiant’s, but RCB was not be able to keep their winning track.
In the mid stage of the league they were at second last position in the IPL Points Table. And then this Man Virat Kohli took their team on the second place after 14 games. RCB got qualified for Playoff with 14 points and secured second place in IPL Points Table.

They came front as a team. Everybody put their 100% in each game. While they played it felt like they wanted to be there in the IPL final.

This year IPL is named to be Virat Kohli’s show. Amazing Human Being and an Amazing Player. 919 Runs in this IPL. He has one match left in this IPL. I want Virat Kohli to score more 90-100 runs in the IPL final and then he will become the first man in the IPL history to score 1000+ runs in the single IPL Edition. He is the top in the “Most Valuable Players” list. Watching Virat Kohli is always a treat. He scored 4 Hundred in this IPL itself, its shows how tremendous form he is in. Currently he is Orange Cap holder.
Virat Kohli is one of the reason that I want RCB to be win this Year IPL.

Yuzvendra-Chahal-and-Shate-Watson-RCBIn this IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore always faced problem with their Bowling Attack. Mitchell Starc and Samuel Badree was not available for this IPL. Then RCB management placed some changes in the team. They took Yuzvendra Chahal in the team. And he bowled extremely well throughout the tournament. He picked 20 wickets in 12 matches. Yuzvendra Chahal made the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling attack strong. Along with Chahal, Shane Watson also picked 20 wickets in 15 matches and he is on the Top spot in the Highest Wickets list.
So as of now Purple cap is also in Royal Challengers Bangalore dugout.

Apart from the Individual statistics Royal Challengers Bangalore is on Second spot of the Fair Play Awards List with 16 points. (The Fair Play Award is based on how a team has lived up to the ‘spirit of the game’ and given respect to the opposition, the laws of cricket and the umpires. Hence, a captain’s role becomes very important in winning this award as his style of leadership will dictate how a team follows these criteria and Virat Kohli his part as a Captain very good).

AB DE Villiers (37) and Virat Kohli (36) is on first and second position respectively On Most Sixes in IPL 2016 list. Royal Challengers Bangalore secured top 3 position in IPL 2016 Highest Team Totals list.

Along with all this points there is another reason why I feel they should become the champions of this season. And the reason is Virat Kohli and AB DE Villiers classic batting partnership. At some point I want RCB to win this IPL just for these two incredible players. They put all their best for this team.

So this all are my points on “Why I want Royal Challengers Bangalore to win this IPL - 2016?”

The final game will be under-way on the 29th of May 2016 at Bangalore, All the best to RCB. Hope they emerge as champions!! If you liked the article please share your points on this.

An experience for every rising cricketer to play with role model senior players. A dream of young cricketers to share and work in a team whom the cricket legends belong too. IPL who
made a few cricketer’s dream comes true like Ricky Ponting, Shaun Pollack who really wanted to play with Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Currently going on is the 9th season of Indian Premier League founded by BCCI. IPL has grown up so rapidly in past 8 years. IPL had started its first season in 2007 with the help and sponsorship by DLF Group. The IPL had made so many changes in the rules and policies in every season.

Today we will discuss few important points that happened in the IPL 2016 and its Auction. Very firstly the major change this year happened was the lead sponsor. This time the IPL 2016’s title sponsor has been VIVO. Not only sponsors but the teams also changed this time. Chennai Super Kings & Rajasthan Royals got banned for next two seasons. But the good news is that, there are two new teams that have been introduced in the Auction 2016. Those are 1) Rising Pune Supergiants & 2) Gujarat Lions.

List of respective team owners, this time there are a few names that we did not know:

  • Mumbai Indians: Mrs. Neeta Ambani
  • Kolkata Night Riders: Mr. Shahrukh Khan and Mr. Jay Mehta (Equally Important Partner who is also Juhi Chawla’s husband)
  • Kings XI Punjab: Ms. Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia and Co owner is Mr. Karan Paul (Chairman of Apeejay Surrendra Group) and Mohit Burman of Dabur
  • Delhi Daredevils: Owned by GMR Group and the corporation is owned by Mr. G.M. Rao
  • Rising Pune Supergiants: Mr. Sanjeev Goenka
  • Gujarat Lions: Mr. Keshav Bansal (Intex Technologies)
  • Sunrisers Hydrabad : Kalanithi Maran (Sun TV Network)
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore: Royal Challengers Sports Pvt Ltd.

Above I have mentioned few names and the companies who owns the respective teams. Let’s move to the next section: IPL Auction. Many of us don’t know the process of auction here I am with the process

  • IPL team owners are provided with a budget with the cap limit. Last year (2015) the cap limit was 63 Crore. This means that the team owners have to have buy all the players in their team within this 63 Crore only. But this time the total of cap limit was increased by 5% and the grand total became 66 Crore. The franchises bidding from a pool of 351 cricketers including 230 Indian cricketers and 121 overseas cricketers.
  • Out of these 351 players: 131 are capped players which include 26 from India, 28 - Australia, 5 - Bangladesh, 7 - England, 9 - New Zealand, 18 - South Africa, 16 - Sri Lanka and 20 from West Indies.
And 220 uncapped Players from which 204 from India, 9 from Australia, 1 - New Zealand, 2 - South Africa, 3 - West Indies, 1 - Canada and 1 from Ireland.
  • Total players retained by the franchises is 101 which include 37 overseas players.
  • Total players Retained by the teams and amount spent on them

Here I have mentioned some important facts about team wise auction on Indian and overseas players in the second season of IPL that is 2008 the franchises spent 47% of overall amount on Indian players and 53% they have spent on overseas players. But gradually the percentage gets decreased for overseas players such as in the year 2011 franchises spend average of 65% on the Indian cricketers and 45 % on overseas players.

This time also the ball is in India’s court apart from the retained players the franchises have paid an good amount to the Indian cricketers. Expect Royal challengers Bangalore have paid more to the overseas players than Indian. Franchises have spent around Average of 10% of the total amount on Overseas players and average of 15% of the total amount on the Indians Players.

Overall these were a few insights about the IPL auction 2016. Thank you for reading this article. Stay tuned for further updates in such articles and comment below your views and suggestions. We will be glad to hear from our visitors.
